SABRINA Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have ‘split after one year together’, leaving fans stunned.
The Hollywood power couple, who first sparked romance rumours in December 2023, decided to part ways due to their busy work life.
The Disney Channel alum, 25, is currently travelling the world with her Short n’ Sweet Tour while Barry, 32, is filming, not one, but two films – The Immortal Man and Crime 101.
A source told People: “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.”
Representatives for Barry and Sabrina have been contacted for comment.
Back in August, The Sun on Sunday confirmed Barry had been dumped by Sabrina for the first time after she grew tired of his party lifestyle.
While they briefly reunited, it clearly wasn’t meant to be.
A source said at the time: “Barry acts like an idiot when he is drunk and Sabrina was getting increasingly frustrated.
“He has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month.”
Sabrina released the single Please Please Please in June, which sees her sing about a boyfriend damaging her reputation.
Barry starred alongside Sabrina in the music video for Please Please Please, which depicted him as a convict behind bars.
In the song, Sabrina sings: “Please, please, please don’t bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice. Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf***er. Please, please, please.”
Appearing to make reference to Barry’s party lifestyle, she adds: “Whatever devil’s inside you don’t let him out tonight.
“I tell them it’s just your culture and everyone rolls their eyes. Yeah I know.”
The Sun on Sunday revealed in January that Barry had told his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child that he planned to go official with Sabrina.
Barry split from dental nurse Alyson Kierans last July after also rowing about his partying and flirting with another woman.
The couple share two-year-old son Brando.
Set a record
In the summer, Sabrina set a record in the UK singles charts — becoming the first female artist to simultaneously hold the number one and number two spot for three consecutive weeks.
Sabrina later hinted at the split rumours when she posted a TikTok captioned: “Me saying goodbye to him because I wasn’t his number one streamed artist.”
Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Barry recently revealed how losing his drug addict mum aged 12 and growing up in foster care influenced his own parenting.
He said: “Of course, (my childhood is) going to affect me being a father when I had no blueprint to take from.
“People just read that as laziness and go, ‘Oh, that’s no excuse to be an absent father’. I’m not an absent father.’
“Just the audacity of some people, man. It sickens me, makes me furious.
“I’ve been off it (social media) because when I’m going through a role, I’m getting into character. I stay away from the internet.
“But, again, when I’ve got a bit of time, I am a curious being like all of us and you want to know what (people are saying online) especially when it’s slander and when it’s bad comments attacking my appearance or attacking me as a father.”
The actor was also spotted for the first time on the set of the new Peaky Blinders film as he joined the cast in Birmingham.
He’s take on a mysterious new role, but it appears his character has close ties with the Shelby operation.
With the tell-tale flat cap the gang is famed for hiding razor blades in, giving them their Peaky Blinders name, he looked like he fit right in with Tommy Shelby’s mobsters.
In scenes shot on the streets of Bradford, he kept a low profile as he filmed a scene with Sophie Rundle, who plays Shelby sister Ada Thorne.
Ada took over the operation at the end of series six, after Tommy fled for a new life after being tricked into believing he was dying of a brain tumour.
Stephen Graham has also been confirmed to return to the show as the mysterious Hayden Stagg, as are devoted members of the gang Charlie Strong (Ned Dennehy), Johnny Dogs (Packy Lee), and Curly (Ian Peck).
While Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson are also taking on secret roles in the series – with Murphy returning to the cast as main man Tommy Shelby.

Barry and Sabrina first sparked dating rumors in December 2023
They were first spotted having a dinner date at a restaurant in Los Angeles in December 2023.
Since then, Sabrina and Barry have been repeatedly documented going on dates and nights together.
In March 2024, Barry was seen cheering on Sabrina during her set when she opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore.
After her set, Sabrina was seen running off stage and into Barry’s arms in the crowd.
The two were also seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder when Taylor took to the stage.
A month later, Barry was spotted supporting Sabrina once more during her Coachella set.
