I’m A Celebrity stars in shock as Melvin Odoom is the fourth campmate to be axed
THE I’m A Celebrity camp was rocked tonight as Melvin Odoom became the fourth star to leave.
There were hugs and surprised faces as Ant and Dec announced who would be leaving the show.
Melvin Odoom said he was ready to leave in his exit interview[/caption] He was greeted on the bridge by his sister[/caption]Melvin followed Tulisa out of the jungle, with the N-Dubz star sent packing last night.
Arriving in the treetop studio with Ant and Dec, Melvin warned them he was a bit pongy.
He said: “I was ready to go. The best thing about that camp is the people, I loved every single person in there.
“Oti’s my girl, Danny, Bazza, he’s got a voice on him.”
Melvin said living in the jungle was “difficult” but he found positives in the daily routine.
When asked what he learned about himself, he said: “I’ve got quite a caring nature.”
The radio star called Oti Mabuse his “sister” in the camp and praised their special bond.
Reflecting on Dean McCullough’s work ethic in camp, Melvin said: “Dean’s by boy, I don’t want to throw him to the wolves.”
It came after Melvin branded him “Houdini” for going missing when jobs needed to be done.
Carol Vorderman, Melvin’s celebrity crush, recorded him a message but technical difficulties meant he couldn’t hear her words.
When it came time for Melvin to leave the jungle for good, he was greeted by his sister across the famous bridge.
She told him: “You were amazing, so many people love you.”
Viewers were full of compliments for Melvin, with one writing: “melvin really seems like the sweetest guy.”
Another said: “Melvin is such a lovely guy – is Carol Vorderman single I wonder?”
A third wrote: “Aww Melvin!!”
It remains to be seen if Melvin will react to his jungle experience like campmate Tulisa.
Tulisa was the third celeb to be evicted[/caption]Just hours after returning to the real world, she removed the jungle-themed posts from Instagram that had been shared by her team during her time on the show.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that she doesn’t follow Barry McGuigan on Instagram, the only campmate she isn’t digital friends with.
A source said: “Tulisa was in high spirits when she left the set, but something appears to have happened that’s left her raging.
“She wasn’t in a great mood for her post-show interviews and appears to be already distancing herself from the programme. It’s all a bit of a mystery at the moment.”
This morning on Lorraine, Tulisa opened up about her time in the jungle.
She said she has ‘friends for life’ but that not all her campmates were genuine.
The former X Factor judge said: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life.
“But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out.
“Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We’ll see…”
I'm A Celeb 2024 - late entries
MAURA Higgins is a late entry to I'm A Celeb 2024. Yet who is joining her?
2019 Love Island star Maura, 33, will be a late entry to the jungle line-up.
She will head into the I’m A Celeb camp, along with the Reverend Richard Coles, 62.
The duo will join the likes of Coleen Rooney, Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones in Ant and Dec’s jungle camp a week into this year’s star-spangled series.
Yet initially the duo will have their own private base – and a secret mission – before heading into the main compound Down Under.
Maura has already described the jungle as “hell.”
Meanwhile Richard, who has starred on Strictly, has confessed his biggest “fear.”
