My mates want me to book lads holiday and I know girlfriend will blow up
DEAR DEIDRE: MY mates want me to book to go on holiday to Corfu next summer.
I’m desperate to go, but I know my girlfriend will veto it.
It would coincide with my 29th birthday and I’d love to be in the sun with my mates.
I haven’t told my girlfriend yet but I’ve said I’ll go.
She’s 28 and will go mad, which is a shame as things have improved recently.
Earlier in the year we went through a difficult time after she caught me sexting another girl, which made her paranoid. I love her and I don’t want to make her unhappy. What should I do?
DEIDRE SAYS: Understandably, the idea of you on a lads’ holiday in Corfu is not going to make her feel great after you have already betrayed her trust.
What are you planning? A week of sightseeing, or drinking and clubbing and dancing with girls?
It’s your choice, but she might just feel you’re not worth the grief.
If she really matters to you, why not take her away?
If you go with the boys, you take your chances.
