MAFS UK’s Polly takes savage swipe at show groom Adam after sparking rumours she’s moved on with co-star
THE bitterness between Married At First Sight exes Polly Sellman and Adam Nightingale has reached new heights after the scorned bride poked fun at his appearance online.
Polly, who traded in her job as a careers advisor to star in the E4 show, seemed to side with cruel online bullies who had likened her husband’s appearance to that of an “acorn.”
Trolls targeted the barber, 33, for his hairstyle during his time on the show – which culminated in him being covered in red wine by his former partner in the reunion episode.
Polly, who has taken regular swipes at the Nottingham lad since their failed romance aired, has stuck in the knife further with her Instagram Stories upload.
She re-posted a page from Birmingham-based Acorn Dental.
The practice specialises in “cosmetic, orthadontic and implant dentistry” yet she was quick to call out the name in her caption as she wrote: “I think I found my ex husband’s dentist.”
Her catty comment came shortly after Adam told how Polly was the thing he would miss “least” about his MAFS experience.
He also accused her of being “fake” in the scathing chat aired on Instagram.
Polly and Adam’s MAFS journey appeared doomed from the start after her admitted the red-head “wasn’t his type.”
The lack of intimacy and physical touch was tricky for Polly to deal with – yet Adam attempted to boost their romance with a cute rose petal-filled date at home.
Yet his gift of sexy lingerie – which Polly has now donned on Instagram amid her two stone weight loss – didn’t go down well, sparking further issues in their partnership.
PARTNER SWAP?
Polly’s comment came hot on the heels of romance rumours with her 2024 co-star Kieran Chapman.
Fans were quick to suggest the duo were more than friends after a series of “clues.”
Polly fuelled the rumours by sharing a video of the Geordie lad on her Instagram story.
In the clip, shared with her 154k followers, Kieran can be seen flaring his nostrils at a very close up shot to camera.
She captioned the post: “@kieranchapmann only just finding this,” with laughing emojis.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Another showed Kieran holding the camera and filming Polly picking out some food for breakfast, at what looks like a restaurant.
This isn’t the first time that the two have raised suspicions about their relationship.
Just last week Polly shared some pictures of the pair together to mark Kieran’s birthday.
She wrote: “The happiest birthday to this one. Love you so much, forever thankful for you always making sure I stay level headed.
“Ur the best and I love ya. Have the best day.”
The speculation came after Adam admitted there was a mutual “attraction” between himself and co-star Amy Kenyon, yet they would be staying as mates.
