The PS5 Digital Edition is the same console as the standard PS5, just without a disc drive. This means it can only play games downloaded from the PlayStation store. Otherwise, both consoles deliver the same performance.
Sony also sells a PS5 disc drive add-on for $80, which lets you attach a disc drive to the slim version of the PS5 Digital Edition.
