Three-month-old baby boy dies five days after being found unresponsive in home as man and woman charged with assault
A THREE-month-old boy found unresponsive at a house five days ago has sadly died – as police charge a man and a woman with assault.
Cops raced to the property in Seacombe following reports of concern for a child.
The infant was rushed to hospital where injuries to his body were found.
Despite medical efforts and treatment, he was sadly pronounced dead this afternoon.
Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 33, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.
They have both been remanded into custody and are set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on December 23.
When the three-month-old boy was found, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “At about midday on Sunday, we were called to a property on Percy Road following reports of concern for the child.”
“The infant was taken to hospital to be assessed where injuries were found to his body.
“The boy’s condition is described as critical.”
