What specs should I look for in a laptop?
For the best future-proofing (so you can keep using your laptop for several years), we recommend buying a powerful laptop with at least an Intel Core 5 Ultra or AMD Ryzen 5 processor and at least 16GB of RAM.
If you have a fast and busy workload, we'd recommend aiming higher at models with the Intel Core 7 Ultra or AMD Ryzen 7 processors.
Don't worry if your budget doesn't support a high-end, powerful laptop. Less expensive models can still do everything you'd require of them, but not quite as quickly.
