Barron Trump Finds Himself as the Hottest TikTok Trend, Thanks to His Suitcase
Barron Trump prefers to stay out of the limelight compared to his father, Donald Trump, so we are not sure how he feels about being the hottest trend on TikTok right now. CNN recently resurfaced a clip of young Barron talking to his mom, Melania Trump, about his suitcase.
Barron has the Daily Mail to thank for putting the clip on TikTok because it was his preschooler baby voice that had everyone jumping on the trend. “I like my suitcase,” he said in the video while holding his father’s briefcase. He then asked Melania, “I have to go to school now?” It’s rare to hear the now-18-year-old speak, but as a young child, he had a Slovenian accent similar to his mother.
In true internet form, there is also a remix version of “I like my suitcase,” (or “sootcase” on TikTok) which came at the perfect time for the Thanksgiving holiday. As travelers headed out for the long weekend at the airport, they’ve been using the audio sound for themselves, and yes, their cats as they get into their pet carriers.
The video originally aired in 2010 on Larry King Live when Barron was only four years old. He was dressed just like his dad in a blue sports coat and white shirt. Melania was heard sweetly interacting with her son after he asked, “I have to go to school now?”
You have lunch, and then you go to school,” she responded.
He asked again, “Now I’m gonna go?”
“First you will have lunch, then you will go to school,” she reassured him while he clutched his briefcase.
During the interview, King noted Barron’s accent to his parents. Melania revealed, “He spends most of the time with me.”
King asked Donald Trump, “What do you think of that?”
“I think it’s great,” Donald Trump said “Anything he does is OK with me.”
“He speaks three languages, actually,” said his proud mom.
“Smart one,” concluded Donald Trump.
Barron is currently in his freshman year at New York University. He is not living at the dorms but instead chose to remain at Trump Tower and commute to the West Village campus.
