Osasuna have no intention of bidding for Spurs defender, despite reports
A Spanish outlet have denied the rumours doing the rounds that Osasuna are expected to enter the race for a Tottenham player.
Interest building in Sergio Reguilon at Spurs
Reguilon will have just six months left on his contract in January and his time at Tottenham looks set to reach its inevitable conclusion.
A few Spanish sides are reported to be keeping an eye on the 27-year-old’s situation, with some even said to have done some groundwork on a potential deal.
This includes Sevilla and Getafe, who are both said to be keen on offering the left-back a return to Spain (Vamos Mi Sevilla FC).
Club’s interest in Reguilon rubbished
There have been rumours of late that Osasuna could also enter the race and make it a three-horse contest by this has now been rejected by Estadio Deportivo.
They say that they have spoken to sources at Osasuna, who have made it clear that they have no intention of making a move for Reguilon.
In fact, it is revealed that the club are not planning on making any moves in January, and further, they already have two left-backs in their squad.
Sergio Reguilon will be a wanted man upon Spurs exit
There is no doubt that a few Spanish sides will sense a big opportunity with Reguilon, given that he is a proven performer in La Liga and now appears to have put his injury issues behind him.
Most La Liga clubs are strapped for cash and they will not want to miss out on the chance to sign a player of the Spurs man’s quality at a discount.
To be honest, I can see Spurs letting him go for free in January and just paying off the rest of his contract to get him out the Hotspur Way doors.
