Rodrigo Bentancur starts – Spurs vs AS Roma Team News
Ange Postecoglou’s team selection for Tottenham Hotspur’s Europa League fixture against AS Roma has been announced.
Tottenham take on AS Roma in the Europa League
Following his impressive performance in the 4-0 win against Manchester City on Sunday, James Maddison retains his place in the starting eleven.
Postecoglou is without a number of players including Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison through injury, while young striker Will Lankshear sits out the match due to suspension.
As expected, Fraser Forster starts in goal for the third Europa League tie in a row with the England international set for regular game time over the coming results as a result of Vicario’s ankle injury which required surgery earlier this week.
Tonight is the first match in which the pair have met in a competitive fixture, with only previous meetings coming in friendly fixtures.
