Newsmax pundit slams Trump for picking 'personal friend' for every nomination
Newsmax pundit Threryn Bond criticized president-elect Donald Trump for nominating personal friends instead of the best-qualified people to head his new administration.
During a Thanksgiving panel discussion on Thursday, host Sharla McBride asked Bond to comment on Trump's nominations.
"I would wish that I could see someone who didn't look like a personal friend to him," Bond, a former Democratic candidate, replied. "I think it's great to hire our friends sometimes, but our friends have to have experience, and their intentions have to be correct."

"And so far, President-elect Trump is looking at the impact and not the intent," she continued. "He wants people to be in shock and awe regarding his picks, and so far we have been, but what are his intentions with those picks? How much power will he actually allow them to have?"
