Preview: Motherwell (A)
We’re back on the road this weekend as we travel to Fir Park to play Motherwell – read the full match preview below!
THE LOWDOWN
The games continue to come thick and fast for the Hibees in the William Hill Premiership and up next, we face an away trip to Motherwell on kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 30 November.
David Gray’s side come into this one off the back of a dramatic 3-3 draw with Aberdeen in midweek. The two sides played out a six-goal thriller on Tuesday night in a topsy-turvy match which saw three goals scored in injury time.
Rocky Bushiri’s last-gasp strike earned the Hibees a well-deserved point at Easter Road and we will be hoping to take that momentum into Saturday’s fixture with Motherwell.
The result means we go level on points with Hearts, with nine points from 14 matches.
TEAM NEWS
Jordan Obita will miss this one through suspension. The full-back was sent off against Dundee and this will be the second game served of his two-match suspension.
Kieron Bowie provided an update on his return to fitness earlier in the week, but will be unavailable for this one.
Marvin Ekpiteta also remains a doubt due to a thigh injury.
THE HOSTS
Motherwell have enjoyed a solid start to the league campaign and currently sit fifth in the table with 19 points from 12 games.
Stuart Kettlewell’s side come into this one off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Ross County in Dingwall.
Matches involving Motherwell have tended to produce a winner, The Well have only drawn one match this campaign – having won six and lost five.
This will be the second meeting between the sides, with the Steelmen running out 2-1 winners at Easter Road back in October.
