Adirondack Thunder partnering with Catholic Charities for the holidays
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Adirondack Thunder is supporting Catholic Charities of the Diocese in Albany this holiday season. Catholic Charities is a social service agency dedicated to helping those in need of food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities in the region.
On November 30 and December 14, fans can participate in a silent auction for the chance to win a prize pack with team merchandise, team-signed gear, and other items. Fans have until the doors open until the end of the second-period intermission to place a bid at the Catholic Charities table in the lobby of the Cool Insuring Area.
The proceeds of the auction go towards the charity's mission to help those in need during the holidays. Anyone who donates to the charity will also get a free Adirondack Thunder decal.
The first 1,000 kids on-site on November 30 will get a free youth jersey for the team's 10th anniversary. On December 14, the first 1,000 to attend will get a free firefighter helmet and there will be a teddy bear toss as well as a first responders night. Fans can bring a stuffed animal to toss onto the ice after the Thunder score.
