Bake Off fans left delighted as finalist Dylan lands his dream role after viewers insisted he was ‘robbed’ of the win
THE Great British Bake Off fans have been left delighted after one of the show’s most popular stars lands his dream role despite missing out on the top prize.
Dylan Bachelet, aged 20, proved to be one of the Channel 4 show’s most popular contestants of recent years thanks to his charm, wit and impressive bakes.
The charismatic baker managed to pick up an impressive two Star Baker awards from Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith but when it came to Tuesday night’s grand final, things did not go well for the star.
Eventually, he fell short and failed to bring home the title of Bake Off champ with Georgie going on to scoop the crown.
However, things appear to have turned out more than alright for Dylan after bagging a hugely impressive role.
Having always dreamt of being a professional chef, it was revealed that since filming, the star has landed a role working in a Michelin Star restaurant.
These days, Dylan can be found serving up exquisite meals and dishes at the Five Fields restaurant in Chelsea, London.
His new place of work even sent the TV favourite a congratulatory message in order to celebrate his success and achievements on the programme.
A post from the Five Fields said: “Huge congratulations to our own @DylanBachelet_ for making it through to Great British Bake Off 2024 finals this week!
“Dylan has been very good at not letting on how well he has done so we are all cheering him on each episode. We couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishments!!”
Dylan’s major career update comes after fans were left raging that he was “robbed” of a show win after being the breakout star of the series.
Throughout the show, he won acclaim for his innovative flavours and impeccable presentation.
Writing on X – formerly known as Twitter – one fan stated: “I demand a recount. Dylan was robbed.”
A second user simply put: “Dylan. Robbed.”
As someone else noted: “So gutted for #Dylan he has been the winner all the way through the competition then stuffed it up in the final.”
