'I will not be bullied': Trump's Pentagon head pick says he was also target of bomb threat
President-elect Donald Trump's nomination to head the Pentagon confirmed Wednesday night he was targeted by a pipe bomb threat, joining several other nominees victimized by swatting incidents and similar threats.
Pete Hegseth, who is also a Fox News weekend co-host, wrote on X on Wednesday night that a police officer arrived at his home Wednesday morning as seven of his children slept.
"The officer notified my wife and I that they had received a credible pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family," he wrote, adding no one was harmed and the threat was cleared.
" I will not be bullied or intimidated. Never. President Trump has called on me to serve—and that is what I intend to do," Hegseth said.
While the exact number of people affected by the spree of threats, other targets included former Rep. Lee Zeldin, Trump's nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency, Elise Stefanik, nominated for ambassador to the United Nations, and Howard Lutnick, Trump's pick for secretary of commerce.
The president-elect's team has called them "violent, unAmerican threats to their lives."

The attacks ranged from bomb threats to swatting, referring to fake emergency calls that send armed officers to an address.
"In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action."
