How to claim the Juice WRLD skin in Fortnite for free – and why you didn’t get it
FORTNITE’s Chapter 2 Remix is now in its last week, which brought an in-game tribute to the late rapper Juice WRLD.
Update v32.11 added a giant image of Juice WRLD facing the west shores of Fortnite’s Battle Royale island, and he is set to appear during the upcoming Remix: The Finale live event.
Players who log in by the end of this week will also receive the Slayer Juice WRLD skin for free, plus a few more Juice WRLD-themed cosmetic items.
The cel-shaded skin is based on one of the late rapper’s music videos, which was animated in the style of Japanese manga and anime series Demon Slayer.
Alongside the free outfit, players will receive a matching back bling, pickaxe, and four loading screens.
Here’s all the items you can get for free:
- 999 Knives Pickaxe
- 999 Knives Back Bling
- Adventure, Remix’d Loading Screen
- Number One Remix Loading Screen
- Remix With the Golden Touch Loading Screen
- Juice’s WRLD Loading Screen
All Fortnite players who log into the game between now and December 1, 2024, at 1am ET, will receive the free skin and the other free items.
If you’ve already launched the game and wonder why you didn’t get the Juice WRLD skin, keep in mind that it may take up to one day for it to appear in your locker.
Most players report that they got the skin after the first daily Item Shop refresh following their initial login, but some have waited a bit longer.
We tried claiming the skin and it did drop on our next login after an Item Shop refresh.
The Item Shop changes every day at 12am (midnight) GMT / 8pm ET, so if you launch the game again after having logged in previously, you should get the skin and all other free items.
As soon as your free drop is in your inventory you will be greeted with a screen showing all seven items you got.
So, just make sure you launch the game during the free period, and don’t worry if it doesn’t land in your inventory immediately, you are still getting it.
Players who miss the event and don’t log in before the season is over will still get a chance to buy the skin for V-Bucks from the Item Shop at a later date.
