U.S. Customs and Border Protection is helping prepare travelers for the upcoming holiday traffic. The agency is expecting an increase in border traffic and is reminding travelers who are planning trips across all New York State land border crossings to anticipate some delays and plan accordingly.
2. Trooper struck by truck on Northway discharged from hospital
Trooper Nicholas Abbondola was discharged from Albany Medical Center on Tuesday after over three weeks of care, New York State Police announced. Abbondola was struck by a pick-up truck during a vehicle stop on the Northway in early November.

A Lake George man has died after a one-car crash in Queensbury. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said 38-year-old James Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.

BurgerFi’s locations in Latham and Saratoga Springs are permanently closing down. The last day of service will be December 1, with the doors closing for good at 9 p.m.
