Volunteers to deliver Thanksgiving meals to Watervliet residents
WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The city of Watervliet cooked Thanksgiving meals at the Watervliet High School on Tuesday. This food will be assembled Wednesday morning and volunteers from the city's police and fire departments will drive the meals to households starting at 2 p.m.
About 300 residents in about 140 households will get these donations. All meal ingredients and materials were donated or bought from cash donated by the community with some of the donors including former residents who wanted to help people in their former city.
