Severe delays across Tube network after Elizabeth line disruption
A wave of disruption has paralysed part of the London Underground due to fire alerts and ongoing issues on the Elizabeth line while railways have been blocked by flooding.
The Elizabeth line was suspended since yesterday between Paddington and Abbey Wood which caused huge crowds to gather at London Liverpool Street for a second day. While the line has now reopened, severe delays are expected at least until 1pm.
King’s Cross Tube station was evacuated due to a fire alert just moments after a small trackside fire forced High Street Kensington station to shut. Both stations have reopened, but there are severe delays on Circle, Bakerloo, District and Northern lines.
Meanwhile, the third storm of the season, Storm Conall, has brought travel disruption on rail and roads in London and the South East after Storm Bert’s chaos. Scroll down to see all the affected railway lines.
