ITV’s Lingo in major format shake up as it returns for new series

An exciting new twist will allow contestants to prove if they really know their Lingo when it returns on January 6.
Lingo is returning for a new series with an exciting twist[/caption] Adil Ray left red-faced after VERY rude word is spelt out on the Lingo board[/caption]Lingo has three teams of players made up of pairs and they have to fill in blanks to uncover hidden words.
As the prize money increases, so does the risk and if a team doesn’t find the right word, their opponents can steal the prize.
During the “End Game,” the final pair attempts to double their winnings.
If they can’t find the words, they risk walking away with nothing.
But in an exciting new twist contestants will now get the chance to compete in up to three episodes.
This will give them the chance to prove they really know their Lingo.
But there’s more!
Any team that gets to the final round is guaranteed a place on the following episode.
This will give them the opportunity to accumulate a larger prize pot, as their winnings from each episode roll over into the next.
Both fans of the show and contestants will be delighted at this new twist which will add even more excitement to the show.
A previous contestant posted a YouTube vlog earlier this year to reveal all about her experiences on the show.
Farah Raja appeared on the show with her brother Ibby and they revealed behind the scenes of their dressing room as well as a clip from Lingo talking to the show’s host.
However, the pair were disappointed that they didn’t get a photo with Adil before they were asked to leave.
Farah said: “Yeah they were literally like, ‘see ya’.”
