Annual 5K will temporarily close Manhattan roads on Thanksgiving
MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Manhattan drivers should anticipate multiple road closures for Thanksgiving Day due to a local 5k race.
The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) posted on social media on Nov. 25 warning people that several streets will be closed throughout Manhattan on Thanksgiving for the annual Turkey Trot 5K.
Starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, the race will go from Aggieville in front of Rally House, move through the City Park and along Poyntz Avenue to the mall. Police advise residents to plan any trips throughout the area accordingly during Thanksgiving morning while runners are out and about.
