Jon Richardson returns to TV as he joins hit BBC show following marriage split from Lucy Beaumont
COMEDIAN Jon Richardson is making a return to TV following his shock divorce from Lucy Beaumont.
The star, 42, confirmed his separation from his wife in April of this year and has taken some time out from TV in the meantime.

He will be a contestant on the festive edition of Richard Osman‘s House of Games.
Jon’s only other TV project since the news of his separation is his regular role on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown with the latest episodes having aired in July of this year but it is understood that these were recorded before news of his love split was made public.
Fans can expect to see Jon on screens on the BBC Two show shortly before Christmas.
Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine, comedian and Too Hot to Handle narrator Desiree Burch and choirmaster Gareth Malone complete the line-up.
The four celebrities will be facing off to win a variety of novelty prizes and wrap their heads around a slew of complex and challenging quiz-style questions.
Jon and Lucy split after nine years together in April.
Last month, Lucy, 41, was pictured leaving a theatre with her rumoured new man, sound engineer Martin Wallace.
Now Jon has shared a rare update on his own love life following the end of his marriage.
During his appearance at a comedy gig for Absolute Radio in support of The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity at the London Palladium, Jon made reference to his single status.
He was joined by a stellar line-up including Dara O’Briain, Josh Widdicombe and Loose Women‘s Judi Love.
Judi’s stand up routine saw her talk about the challenges of dating over 40.
Her words clearly made an impression on Jon, who said as he returned to the stage: “It makes me think I’m so happy being single.”
