Chilly heading into the holiday with isolated showers Wednesday
What We’re Tracking
- Cold and clear morning
- Chilly heading into the holiday
- Few showers Wednesday, flurries on Saturday
Clear and cold this morning with lows in the upper teens and lower 20s for much of the area. A south wind returns this afternoon with speeds 10-15 mph. High temperatures rebound a little bit on Tuesday into the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Our next storm system is expected to arrive just before Thanksgiving, bringing a blast of even colder air for the holiday. Precipitation is possible to return by Wednesday evening, primarily in the form of rain showers. However, it's still too early to rule out the possibility of a few snowflakes on Wednesday. The amounts should remain scattered and on the low side.
Thanksgiving itself should remain mostly dry as of now, but temperatures will suffer as we struggle to even get out of the upper 30s. By Friday morning, low could drop into the upper teens, definitely a cold one for those planning on Black Friday shopping! Another quick-passing system could bring a few snow showers to the area on Saturday.
