Elizabeth line delays extended while trains are cancelled at Liverpool Street
Disruption on the Elizabeth line has been extended after a signal faultwhich is causing cancellations and delays at Liverpool Street station.
The Elizabeth line remains suspended between Paddington and Abbey Wood due to a signal system fault which TfL is working to repair.
Most departures at London Liverpool Street station appeared as cancelled or delayed due to the issue which is expected to continue until at least 12.30pm. The station was packed with frustrated passengers this morning after the line was blocked.
The newly named Windrush Overground line has severe delays between Sydenham, West Croydon and Crystal Palace due to a customer incident. Elsewhere, Gatwick Express and Southern trains between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport face delays and cancellations after a defective track.
It comes after days of travel chaos on UK roads, rail and airports as Storm Bert brought snow, ice, heavy rain and flooding, including between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton and in Northampton where the tracks are flooded.
