Rapper Slowthai arrives for ‘rape’ trial supported by ex-The Voice judge wife Anne-Marie after ‘attacking two women’
RAPPER Slowthai has arrived for his trial supported by popstar wife Anne-Marie after he allegedly raped two women.
The Grammy-nominated artist, real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton, is accused of attacking the women after a gig.
Frampton, 29, has arrived at Oxford Crown Court where his trial is set to open today.
The rapper, who was supported by his wife – ex-The Voice judge Anne-Marie – is accused of raping two separate women on September 8, 2021.
He is also charged with sexual assault against one of the alleged victims.
His co-defendant Alex Blake-Walker is also due to stand trial accused of the same charges.
The alleged offences came after Frampton performed at the Bullingdon Club in Oxford.
Frampton wed Anne-Marie in Las Vegas in July 2022 and the pair had their first child, a daughter, earlier this year.
Following his first court appearance last year, the rapper was removed from the Reading and Leeds Festival lineup.
He was also scrubbed from Glastonbury posters ahead of the festival last summer.
Frampton arrived on the music scene in 2019 with album Nothing Great About Britain.
He was nominated for best dance recording at 2021’s Grammy Awards.
He and Blake-Walker have denied the charges against them.
