Ant & Dec’s ‘feud’ with I’m A Celeb’s Dean McCullough is great telly – don’t stop him doing Bushtucker Trials, says pal
DEAN McCullough seemingly has an on-screen feud with I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec, with the BBC Radio 1 star’s pal now speaking out.
A pal of the DJ has said that she wants to keep seeing Dean get voted to do trials, with her adding that she thinks his “feud” with Ant and Dec is great telly.

Because Dean has been voted to do so many trials, it seems that Ant and Dec, but especially Ant, have been rather annoyed by the radio star’s “lack of effort”.
Over the weekend someone on X noted, “Ant going over and above to try and be nice to Dean because we’ve caught on that he doesn’t like him is TV GOLD.”
And now Dean’s Radio One pal Danni Diston has spoken exclusively to The Sun.
“I was watching when he had his head in a box. And I know people think in there you’d be easily able to do that, but really think about the idea of having a spider on your face.
“I couldn’t do it. I would try it. I would try it, but I would scream. I would absolutely hate it, I think, when you’re in the moment you probably tell yourself, but I reckon I know he probably would have prepped himself as well going into the jungle.
“Being like. It’s not as bad. It’s not as bad. But when you’re actually in that moment, and you have all that stuff on you, I think it’d be horrible, to be honest.
“So I think the screams are real. I think he’s really scared, and they’re going to keep voting for him because I think he makes great telly.”
Danni then weighed in on the alleged feud between Ant and Dean, saying, “He’s getting better [at the trials]. He’s definitely getting better.
‘THEY’RE BESTIES’
“Him and Ant had a handshake. Dean likes to say they’re besties. He loves it.”
She then said, “[It’s not personal with Ant] I think it’s just good telly, right?
“I think that’s what everyone thinks. Yeah. It’s a show, isn’t it?
“Everyone’s just having a good time. I think that’s what it looks like to me it comes across as just a laugh.”
Danni added, “He knows what’s going on in the media. It’s his job. We work on the radio.”
I'm A Celeb 2024 - late entries
MAURA Higgins is a late entry to I'm A Celeb 2024. Yet who is joining her?
2019 Love Island star Maura, 33, will be a late entry to the jungle line-up.
She will head into the I’m A Celeb camp, along with the Reverend Richard Coles, 62.
The duo will join the likes of Coleen Rooney, Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones in Ant and Dec’s jungle camp a week into this year’s star-spangled series.
Yet initially the duo will have their own private base – and a secret mission – before heading into the main compound Down Under.
Maura has already described the jungle as “hell.”
Meanwhile Richard, who has starred on Strictly, has confessed his biggest “fear.”
This comes as fans and critics of the popular ITV reality show are getting suspicious over how “easy” the trials are this year.
ALLEGED FIX ROW
“This trial seems way too easy for Dean. They’ve done that on purpose,” penned one person on X.
“Too easy for them this year,” echoed a second, who was fuming over how “easy” the Jack and the Scream Stalk trial seemed.
A third person then added, “OMG How easy have they made that trial for Dean !!!! Absolutely sick of him!!!”
From January, Danni is moving to a new slot on BBC Radio One with her co-host Sam MacGregor.
Sam and Danni, who previously held the Weekend Breakfast slot, will now host an afternoon show that runs from Friday to Sunday, 1-4pm.
