'Our mistake': Laura Ingraham admits her show mixed up Letitia James and Fani Willis
Fox News personality Laura Ingraham owned up to her show's mistake Monday night during a segment celebrating the dismissal of special counsel Jack Smith's federal election interference case against Donald Trump.
As Ingraham pivoted the subject to another criminal case against Trump — that of the election racketeering charges in Georgia — she showed a picture of what she seemed to think was the prosecutor who brought that case, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
It was actually New York Attorney General Letitia James. Both women are Black.
A few minutes later, Ingraham issued an apology for the mixup.
"Earlier we accidentally showed a graphic that had a photo of another vicious anti-Trump figure, Letitia James, when we were talking about Fani Willis," she said. "That was our mistake. They both hate Trump."

This wasn't the first time Ingraham, who was a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and a right-wing talk radio host before her stint on primetime Fox News, has made such a mistake.
Earlier this year, Ingraham apologized for a segment about Nathan Wade, a lawyer Willis carried on a secret romantic relationship with, while instead showing a picture of Terrence Bradley, Wade's former law partner. Both men are Black.
The Georgia case has been in limbo for months now because of an ethics complaint from Trump's co-defendants against Willis and Wade, alleging that the entire prosecution was a scheme to divert taxpayer money to their relationship, an allegation they strenuously deny. With Trump set to assume the presidency once again, and the Georgia appeals court canceling a planned hearing on the matter without explanation, the future of the case is even more uncertain.
