Buffalo man accused of stealing $25K from Schenectady employer
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- New York State Police arrested a Buffalo man on Wednesday for allegedly stealing $25,000 from his Schenectady employer. Troopers said Devin Williams, 42, is charged with third-degree grand larceny.
Troopers arrested Williams at his home in Buffalo. An investigation began on March 22, 2023, after receiving a complaint from a Schenectady business about a possible theft.
Troopers' investigation determined that between October and December 2022, Williams allegedly used the company's credit card for unauthorized purchases. Troopers said the purchases amounted to $25,000 and were made for Williams' personal gain.
Troopers processed Williams at the State Police barracks in Princetown. He remains in Schenectady County Jail awaiting arraignment.
