Watch Dan Hooker pummel IShowSpeed in sparring session
Dan Hooker had way too much fun beating up IShowSpeed at a recent sparring session in New Zealand.
The popular streamer has recently been touring the country and part of his trip saw him head down to Hooker’s gym, where the UFC lightweight contender looked happy to see him. Speed couldn’t help but challenge Hooker to trade a few punches in the cage and, shockingly, it didn’t go well for him.
Watch a clip of Hooker taking it to Speed below, which was streamed live on Speed’s YouTube channel.

Speed first set a few ground rules, requesting that there be no kicks and no submissions. The modifications didn’t start there though as after a few seconds standing across from Hooker, Speed also asked that they swap MMA gloves for the larger boxing gloves.
None of it made a difference as Hooker, a veteran of 22 UFC fights, had his way with the streaming star. He battered Speed with punches from every angle, dropping him on multiple occasions, and even prevailing in a 2-on-1 matchup when Speed brought in a partner to assist.
Afterwards, Hooker praised Speed for having “Balls of steel.”
This is business as usual for Speed, who in addition to being one of the most popular YouTubers in the world, has also been known to challenge athletes at their own game. Recently, he put a scare in Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles when the two competed in a 50-meter dash.
