What should I know about the 49ers?
San Francisco, last year's NFC champions who lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, are 5-6 on the season and are coming off a 38-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
The 49ers were without starting quarterback Brock Purdy in the loss due to a shoulder injury, with Brandon Allen starting in his place. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that the 49ers believe that Purdy will be able to return against Buffalo.
Since he returned from injury, star running back Christian McCaffrey has averaged 49.7 yards per game on the ground and has yet to score a touchdown.
On defense, lineman Nick Bosa is tied for 14th in the league with 7.0 sacks on the season.
This will be the first time since 2020 the Bills and 49ers have played each other, a 34-24 win for Buffalo. The last time San Francisco traveled to Highmark Stadium was in 2016.
Betting line
As of Monday, the Bills are 6.5 point favorites on FanDuel SportsBook.
