I was left with bald patches after my hair fell out in clumps – a 4-ingredient DIY oil helped it grow back thicker
A TRAINING trichologist has revealed she has been desperately searching for a solution to help prevent her hair from falling out in clumps.
Hasini Kay explained that her situation got so bad that she ended up having bald patches on her head.
Hasini took to TikTok to reveal her distressing hair problems[/caption] She was even afraid to touch of her in case it would fall out even more[/caption]But after trying and testing a few different solutions, Hasini revealed that she had finally found the perfect solution to help prevent her hair from falling out and encourage it to grow back.
She shared a video on TikTok, and it has since gained over 30,000 likes and over 840,000 views.
Hasini explained that she was afraid to even “touch” her hair as it was “falling out in clumps” and she would call her mum “crying about it.”
She also explained that she could never part her hair due to the thin appearance.
This caused her to come up with a hair growth oil recipe, and after using it for a little while Hasini managed to transform her hair.
The oil involves a concentrated blend of natural plant oils that deeply hydrate and nourish the hair.
She included olive and castor oils to “penetrate deep into the hair” as well as jojoba and almond oil to “form a protective layer.”
Talking about the product, she wrote: “This recipe, developed from centuries of south-asian hair oiling traditions, helps to heal damage and conditions the hair to revitalise and restore your tresses.”
In the video, she also said “I started working on a hair growth oil recipe and after using it for a little while this is what my hair looks like now and I cry happy tears.
“So I just apply two full pipettes of my growth oil to my scalp every week and I massage it in for a few minutes for improved hair growth.”
The before and after shots show a clear difference between the condition of her hair.
Many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One asked: “How long did it take you to get to this stage??”
To which Hasini replied: “It took me a few months to see the biggest change and then after that I had steady growth!”
It wasn’t until she discovered a four-ingredient DIY solution[/caption] Now she is selling it online to help others with their hair struggles[/caption]Another asked: “How many times a week do you use the growth oil? Is there too much or too little?”
Hasini responded with: “Also remember to wash it out with shampoo.”
A third also questioned: “Is rosemary water any good?”
And Hasini replied: “Good but rosemary oil is better!”
Hair Loss 101
HAIR pro Samantha Cusick has revealed everything you need to know about hair loss.
Why Does Hair Loss Happen?
Hair loss can be influenced by so many factors, from genetics and hormone changes to lifestyle choices.
Stress, diet, and even hair care habits can all impact hair strength.
It’s perfectly normal to lose some hair each day, but sometimes the body can shed more than usual, responding to things like hormonal shifts or even life stressors.
Why It Happens More This Time of Year
Have you ever noticed your hair seems to shed more in autumn? That’s seasonal shedding!
During summer, we hold onto extra hair to protect our scalp from the sun.
As the weather cools, it’s like our body recalibrates and lets go of those extra strands.
Dry, cooler air can also make hair more brittle, making it easier to lose a little extra volume during these months.
Hacks and Affordable Buys to Treat Hair loss
The great news? You don’t need to spend a fortune on pricey treatments to support your hair.
Try daily scalp massages—they’re so simple but really help boost blood flow to the follicles.
Castor oil is another fantastic, budget-friendly option that’s rich in nutrients to strengthen your strands.
Adding a bit more protein to your diet and a biotin supplement can also work wonders for overall hair health.
Products to Avoid
Steer clear of products with high levels of alcohol, sulphates, and parabens – they can be drying and damage hair over time.
Heat styling and chemical treatments can also cause breakage, so try to use them sparingly.
Instead, look for gentle, hydrating formulas to support your scalp and keep hair healthier through the seasons.
