Streets of Raith x Reminiscing Raith
Streets of Raith are lifelong Raith Rovers fans Sandy Power and Martyn Rollo Rose.
The pair have released their original song ‘Unthinkable, Surely’ onto streaming platforms and Bandcamp on November 15th, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Raith Rovers’ historic Coca-Cola Cup Final win.
The song also features backing vocals by local folk singer Fiona Forbes.
The song was recorded by Sandy at his home studio as well as at EFR Studios in Kirkcaldy.
The pair are encouraging donations to the Raith Rovers Community Foundation’s ‘Reminiscing Raith’ Just Giving Fundraiser through the release of the song, in which the lyrics talk about some of the significant high points in our history.
Reminiscing Raith is a biweekly event that has been running for a number of years by the Community Foundation and has seen some special guests over its time.
It takes place on a Thursday every two weeks from 11am to 1pm at Stark’s Park, either in the Raith Suite or in the renamed 27/11 Club.
Admission is free to attend and everyone in attendance receives tea, coffee, soup and sandwiches.
Raith Rovers’ Club Historian John Greer is the interviewer and it is always an entertaining experience in a friendly and warm environment.
