Towie’s Dan Edgar cosies up to Dancing On Ice partner as they’re seen looking very close in show rehearsals
THE Only Way Is Essex star Dan Edgar has been spotted getting up-close-and-personal with his Dancing On Ice professional.
Reality star Dan was seen gazing into his partner’s eyes and looking closer than ever as they rehearsed for the upcoming show.
The star was seen attempting daring lifts with pro Vanessa James Amoros, 37, who joined the ice skating show in January 2024.
They were pictured with their arms wrapped round each other and in a number of intimate poses.
The swarthy star, 34, put his muscles to good use as he lifted the Canadian pro above his head and attempted some Dirty Dancing style moves.
In other body-on-body moves, the dark-haired beauty can be seen straddling the star as he lay on the floor.
Dan shared the news on his social media last month and wrote alongside a picture of him and his new partner: “Excited to start working with the lovely @vanessa_james_sk8 had our first training session today we’re ready to roll.
“She just needs to teach me how to dance… in general… and then put that into a synchronised routine… on ice.”
The stunning skater’s first ever celebrity partner was retired British track and field athlete Greg Rutherford.
It’s thought the Essex favourite begged DOI bosses not to be paired with skate siren Vanessa Bauer.
It comes despite the brunette being Dancing On Ice‘s most successful pro dancer, having reached the final five times.
Towie star Dan is said to have made the plea out of loyalty for his mate Joey Essex, who had a fling with Vanessa during his time on the show in 2023.
A source told The Sun previously that Dan wanted to keep things “really professional” and despite Joey and Vanessa not ending things badly, he found it the “easiest solution”.
The Towie hunk had been enjoying a rocky romance with reality star Ella Rae Wise – but it’s said to be finally over for good, just months after they’d rekindled their relationship in Cyrus.
The insider said: “Dan didn’t want anything to distract him from the competition and he didn’t want to have to worry about what Joey was thinking.
“Why create any problems when it’s easily avoided by asking for a different dancer?
“Insiders say it was discussed as part of his discussions about joining the show and didn’t cause any problems.”
Dan is recently single after his split from Ella, which came following his six-year relationship with Amber Turner.
Last month The Sun revealed the Towie Christmas special will return this year, two years after being axed.
And it’s likely the fall-out from Dan and Ella’s latest split will play out during the movie-length episode.
Earlier this month Ella sparked fears she and Dan had split with a cryptic post on social media.
It read: “The thing about me is I get happier, funnier and hotter every time I choose peace over someone else’s nonsense.”
