BBC News presenter reveals her last shift is today ‘after five fantastic years’ ahead of big move
A POPULAR BBC News star has confirmed that her last shift is TODAY after making a huge move.
Hannah Gray, a TV journalist at the BBC, has confirmed that she has quit regional programme Look North.
Hannah Gray is leaving BBC Look North[/caption] The star is walking away after five years[/caption]The star has worked on the Yorkshire region’s bulletins and BBC Breakfast updates for the past five years but she has now revealed that she is stepping back from her duties.
It comes just days before Hannah prepares to move to London but she has seemingly kept the details regarding her move a closely-guarded secret.
Hannah will be undertaking work as a freelance journalist upon her move to London but has so far remained coy on whether it will be with the Beeb.
Taking to her X account, she shared a snap of herself in the BBC Look North studio ahead of her final Breakfast shift.
Hannah said: “LAST breakfast shift at BBC Look North!
“After a fantastic 5 years here in Yorkshire, we’re moving back to London in early December.
“Will very much miss my amazing friends, colleagues and beautiful countryside here but we will be moving closer to family & really looking forward to catching up with old colleagues & friends in the capital.”
Hannah has presented the breakfast and lunchtime bulletin updates for the last five years as well as occasionally covering the weekend evening slots.
Reacting to her news online, one fan said: “Aww we will miss you for sure but can’t wait to see where life takes you next.”
Someone else said: “Good luck with everything!!”
Whilst her former co-star Abbie Dewhurst wrote: “This has come around so fast!!! Can’t believe you’re heading back down south so soon xxx.”
Before working as a TV journalist, Hannah had a very different career altogether.
Between 20 and 25, she worked as a professional dancer and performer where she was based in Miami, Florida.
Having landed a performance job with The Walt Disney Company, she worked with the Disney brand across the globe including at Disneyland Paris and Disneyland Tokyo.
