Police seek help locating missing vulnerable woman in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- The New York City Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating a missing 84-year-old woman in Brooklyn.
Mercedes Vera was last seen around 9 a.m. on Saturday at 372 Blake Avenue, police say.
Vera is described as a Hispanic woman, approximately 4'8'' and 105 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red and brown sweater and black Puma sneakers, police say.
Vera suffers from dementia and bipolar disorder and may require medical attention, officials say.
Anyone with information is asked to contact NYPD's 73rd Precinct at (800) 577-8477 or 911.
