I’m a Celeb viewers work out ‘real reason’ Dean McCullough didn’t quit disgusting trial with Coleen Rooney
I’M A Celeb’s Dean McCullough and Coleen Rooney had a lot to celebrate after smashing today’s Bushtucker Trial.
The pair won nine out of a potential 12 stars – the highest amount won in a fan-voted challenge so far this series – by taking part in Absolute Carnage.

With Coleen locked inside the back of a ute with all of the stars, which were locked into place with different fastenings that required different tools to undo, it was up to Dean to find the tools.
Naturally the pair were smothered in creepy crawlies and disgusting liquids in order to complete the trial.
While this has caused Dean to pull out of challenges in the path, he managed to pull through this challenge – but fans believe it was down to him wanting to impress Coleen.
“I figured Dean wouldn’t wanna f**k Coleen off,” wrote one on X. “Also think he’s a bit insecure as he seems to work harder when he’s getting praise and doing well. “
“Think Dean is finally making an effort so he can impress Coleen. Wants to be besties with her so bad,” said another.
“Loool Dean knows better than to act a fool in front of Colleen,” joked a third. “All that screaming and carrying on has disappeared #ImACeleb”
“Dean definitely more scared of Coleen than the bugs,” said another, with a fifth agreeing, adding, “I think Dean was more afraid of Coleen than anything in those barrels”
Emerging victorious, if a little soaked in gunk, after the trials, Ant and Dec praised Coleen for remaining “calm and collected” during the trial.
Coleen replied: “Yeah that is my way of coping, silence, the silent treatment.”
Returning to camp, Coleen and Dean played the classic trick on the group, pretending they had done badly.
They were awarded a meal of possum that evening, which left campmates slightly confused and unimpressed – particularly as new camp leaders Danny and Barry had reassigned everyone’s jobs, meaning Oti and Richard were now in charge of the food.
I’m A Celebrity continues nightly at 9pm on ITV1.
