Tree lighting celebrations in Central Texas

Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park
Kyle, Texas' annual tree lighting ceremony kicks off Sunday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park. Santa will arrive at 4 p.m. and the tree-lighting celebration will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Photos with Santa, holiday foods and drinks, arts and crafts, and holiday music performances will be available for the public to enjoy.
Wimberly's Hometown Holiday Celebration
Wimberly, Texas, located in the heart of the Hill Country, invites locals and visitors to celebrate the holidays by experiencing their "Hometown Holiday" celebrations.
On Nov. 30, Wimberly kicks off the holiday spirit with a tree-lighting celebration at 5 p.m. at EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens. Following the tree-lighting ceremony, enjoy a lighted Christmas parade, Santa appearance and toy drive.
12th Annual Tree of Angels
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, join the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office for the lighting of the 12th Annual Tree of Angels to honor victims of violent crime. This ceremony begins at 6 p.m. at the Historic Williamson County Courthouse.
This tree-lighting ceremony is dedicated to remembering families whose lives have forever been touched by violent crime. Community members are encouraged to bring an angel ornament to place on the special tree.
Zilker Tree Lighting
On Sunday, Dec 1, the City of Austin will be hosting its annual Zilker Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6 to 7 p.m. Arrive early for some holiday tunes performed by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble at 5:15 p.m.
Free parking will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. The city suggests entering the park through eastbound Barton Springs Road.
Driskill’s Public Tree Lighting
The Driskill Hotel in Austin is bringing the holiday spirit to their festive tree-lighting celebration full of Texas charm. From 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, the public is invited to take part in the annual lighting of The Driskill’s 16-foot Christmas tree. This event is free.
Light Up the Plaza
Hill Country Galleria invites the public to their Light Up the Plaza event on Nov. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Bee Cave. This event includes a grand tree lighting of the plaza ceremony, live performances from Sage Ryder and Kylie Morgan, refreshments, and fun activities for all ages. This event is free to all guests.
