Patriots-Dolphins Inactives: Defense Avoids Disaster As Star Cornerback Active
The New England Patriots could not afford to be without top cornerback Christian Gonzalez against Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and the speedy Miami Dolphins.
Fortunately for the Patriots, they won’t have to worry about that as Gonzalez is active for the Week 12 contest at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
Gonzalez on Friday was questionable to play after he was added to the injury report with a hip ailment. Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo told CBS Sports he was “optimistic” Gonzalez would be able to play approximately 30 minutes before inactives were due.
Christian Barmore, Kyle Dugger (ankle), Anfernee Jennings (knee), Vederian Lowe (shoulder), Marte Mapu (neck), Sione Takitaki (knee) and Keion White (knee) all are active after initially being ruled questionable.
Patriots pass-rusher Deatrich Wise Jr. (foot) is inactive after working out pregame, according to multiple reports. Veteran wide receiver K.J. Osborn is a healthy scratch for the third time in four weeks.
Here are the inactives for the Patriots:
WR K.J. Osborn
QB Joe Milton III
G Tyrese Robinson
DE Deatrich Wise JR.
DT Jaquelin Roy
LB Titus Leo
And the inactives for the Dolphins:
RB Jeff Wilson Jr.
CB Ethan Bonner
CB Kendall Fuller
LB Mohamed Kamara
OL Andrew Meyer
TE Jack Stoll
WR Dee Eskridge
Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET.
