Vice President of the United States: J.D. Vance

JD Vance was nominated by Donald Trump as his vice-presidential running mate during the Republican National Convention in July 2024. Notably, this selection made Vance the first Marine veteran to be nominated for the vice presidency on a major party ticket.

As Vice President-elect, JD Vance is expected to play a significant role in supporting President-elect Trump’s administration, especially in policy areas aligned with his own expertise and interests.

Secretary of State: Marco Rubio

Senator Marco Rubio has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as the Secretary of State. Rubio is expected to become the nation’s top diplomat, providing leadership in foreign policy and international relations.

Rubio’s relationship with Donald Trump has evolved over time. Initially, during the 2016 presidential campaign, they were rivals, exchanging personal and political attacks.

However, their relationship improved during Trump’s presidency, with Rubio maintaining a supportive stance and accompanying Trump on campaign events. ​This improved rapport ultimately led to Rubio’s nomination for the critical role of Secretary of State, reflecting a mutual alignment on key foreign policy issues.

Scott Bessent is a well-regarded billionaire hedge fund manager and the founder of the investment firm Key Square Capital Management. Prior to establishing his firm, Bessent was known for his influential role at Soros Fund Management where he was the chief investment officer.

Secretary of Defense: Pete Hegseth

Secretary of Labor: Lori Chavez-DeRemer

Sean Duffy served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 until 2019, representing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District.
