SoxFest Live to put White Sox back in the fan-festival game in January 2025
SoxFest is back, people.
For the most part, anyway.
The White Sox haven't hosted a winter fan festival since January 2020, an absence that — by the time the last two offseasons rolled around — struck many as being a matter of a cratering organization hiding from the displeasure of its fan base.
But on January 24 and 25, the team will host what it's calling SoxFest Live — new name and all — at Bridgeport's Ramova Theatre, which bills itself as an 1,800-seat live music venue, craft brewery, beer garden and grill.
The Sox provided details Friday of a "reimagined, fan-focused event featuring a mix of entertainment and exclusive conversations with players, front office staff and franchise greats live on stage." New manager Will Venable will participate. The event will take place from 5-9 p.m. both nights. General admission tickets are $56 and go on sale at noon Tuesday at ramovachicago.com. Premium tickets cost $225.
The Sox also will host a kids' camp on Saturday, January 25 at the Chicago Park District’s ComEd Rec Center near Pilsen. Registration is $35 and opens Tuesday.
