Variety released a list of predictions for the 2025 Oscars.
The outlet predicted that Timothee would emerge victorious when pitted against Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) and Paul Mescal (Gladiator II) in the category. Interestingly, Adrien is currently the youngest star to win the award previously. He did so at the age of 29 when he won for The Pianist.
A Complete Unknown is also predicted to snag nominations in the Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, Production Design, Costume Design and Sound categories. However, it isn’t considered a frontrunner.
Interestingly, Timothee‘s other big movie this year – Dune: Part Two – is also predicted to be in the running for the Best Picture, Production Design, Film Editing, Sound and Visual Effects categories. The movie is predicted to win the Oscar for Makeup and Hairstyling. No actor from the movie is emerging as a frontrunner for individual nominations.
A Complete Unknown opens on December 25! See what Timothee had to say about preparing for the role.
