FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday afternoon!
It's still cold outside, but at least it's not snowing anymore! Yesterday's system will still swing in a few showers by this evening, but we are progressively going to recover from this latest cool down.
The low pressure center that brought in this latest round of wet weather will continue to move off to our east. By this evening, we'll see a few light rain showers swing in to the area. The best chance of seeing this rain will be off to the east - closer to Pennsylvania.
Temperatures are slowly warming up today. Our daytime high will hit a lot later than normal. By the time we reach midnight, that is when we will be at our warmest. Winds will remain strong today. So, while the thermometer will show a warmer number, it will still feel closer to freezing.
Football Friday Nite will be in line for a few showers, especially for games in the eastern tier of the state. The Buckeyes will play under dry skies, but it will be cloudy and cold. Temperatures for Saturday will try to push up to 50 degrees. Winds will still be fairly strong, so expect to feel a little cooler outside.
The rest of the weekend does manage to get warmer and sunnier. By Monday of next week, we're in the mid to upper 50s, but showers will return by the evening. The middle of next week will drop into the mid to lower 40s with dry skies. We are tracking the chance for a few showers to arrive for Thanksgiving.
