Lake Charles man charged in connection with Nov. 12 murder-suicide
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A Lake Charles man was arrested in connection with his alleged involvement in a suspected murder-suicide, authorities said.
Gabriel B. Williams, 24, of Lake Charles, was charged with obstruction of justice and failure to report certain felonies in connection with the deaths of Dahlen Semar, 23, and Madison Guillory, 23, both of Lake Charles, on Nov. 12.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Deputies responded Nov. 12 to a residence on Topsy Road regarding a report of a possible ongoing hostage situation.
When deputies arrived, they attempted to enter the residence at which time they heard a gunshot. CPSO's ACT-Team responded and after clearing the residence deputies located the bodies of Semar and Guillory.
Detectives have ruled this incident a murder-suicide, where Semar shot and killed Guillory and later killed herself with a self-inflicted gunshot, officials said.
Authorities said the complainant, Williams, provided false and misleading information to deputies, and after calling law enforcement immediately attempted to destroy possible evidence in the case.
He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. His bond is pending.
