Kansas Dem leader “dealt with” after Trump death comment
NEMAHA COUNTY (KSNT) – A Kansas Democrat has apologized and removed a controversial social media comment, which read, “Did you kill Trump for me?"
The Kansas Democratic Party confirmed the comment by JoLene Bloom, the chairwoman of the Kansas Democratic Party in Nemaha County. The state’s party chair said Bloom was "dealt with internally" for making remarks about killing President-Elect Donald Trump. Bloom made the comment on a social media post a Nemaha County resident made about a recent pheasant hunting trip.
"No such verbiage is appropriate we don’t condone that, we in fact condemn any such language in any form," Jeanaa Repass, the state chair of the Democratic Party, told 27 News. "She has taken the post down, she has been dealt with internally and advised that any rhetoric is not acceptable.”
27 News contacted Bloom by email and phone. She had not responded by the time of this publication.
