Portland Meat and Cheese Festival, Emo Night Tour among events to attend this weekend
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — There's a lot happening in Portland this weekend, from comedy shows to cultural demonstrations.

The Emo Night Tour
When: Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
Where: Hawthorne Theatre, 1507 SE 39th Ave, Portland, OR 97214
The Emo Night Tour is back in Portland, with songs from artists like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco and My Chemical Romance. Tickets for the 21+ show are $25.
A Very Merry Mariachi Christmas Concert with Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández
When: Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, 1037 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205.
Conducted by José Hernández, this performance from Mariachi Sol de México will showcase Mexico’s Christmas traditions to Portland audiences.
Cultural Demonstration: Tea Ceremony
When: Friday, Nov. 22 at 1:15 p.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1:15 p.m.
Where: Portland Japanese Garden, 611 SW Kingston Ave, Portland, OR 97205
The Portland Japanese Garden will host several traditional tea ceremonies that are “based in formality and in many ways is a microcosm of the Japanese sense of omotenashi, which translates as wholehearted hospitality.” The cultural event will be held in the Jordan Schnitzer Japanese Arts Learning Center.
Portland Cheese and Meat Festival
When: Saturday, Nov. 23 at various times
Where: Leftbank Annex, 101 N Weidler St, Portland, OR 97227
This artisan food and beverage festival will bring dozens of local brands to the Leftbank Annex to offer samples of their specialty products. Vendors include Olympia Provisions, the Rose City Pepperheads and Sokol Blosser. Tasting tickets start at $75.
My People’s Market
When: Saturday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232
The Portland-founded My People’s Market features small businesses from a diverse group of entrepreneurs. Along with clothing, art, skincare and food vendors, the market includes performances, activations and more.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - "The Lost Christmas Eve"
When: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Where: 1 N Center Ct St, Portland, OR 97227
Florida-formed rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra is hitting the stage to perform “The Lost Christmas Eve” for the first time in a decade. The studio album was the list of the group’s rock-inspired Christmas trilogy.
Punkie Johnson
When: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m.
Where: Mississippi Studio, 3939 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR 97227
Punkie Johnson, known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” and HBO’s “Love Life,” will stop in Portland for the final show of her comedy tour.
