Bob Casey Finally Concedes Senate Race to Pro-Life Republican Dave McCormick
It only took two and a half weeks, but Bob Casey has finally conceded.
On Thursday night, the pro-abortion Pennsylvania senator posted on X that he conceded to his pro-life opponent Dave McCormick.
“I just called Dave McCormick to congratulate him on his election to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate,” he said.
Casey’s concession guarantees that Republicans will have a 53-47 control of the Senate, taking the chamber away from Chuck Shcumer and pro-abortion Democrats.
McCormick had already thanks Pennsylvania voters for selecting him as their next senator and said he appreciated Casey finally giving up.
“Dina and I want to extend our sincere gratitude to Senator Casey, Terese, and their family for their decades of service, hard work, and personal sacrifice. I am so honored to represent every single citizen in Pennsylvania in the United States Senate and will fight for you every day. Thank you!” he wrote in a post on the X social media web site.
Earlier this month, Schumer declined to invite McCormick to the Senate’s November orientation, stating McCormick’s race remains undecided.
There was a time when Bob Casey seemed to aspire to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father, Robert Casey, Senior. Entering into the political world inhabited by his Dad, the junior Casey sought and won the endorsements of pro-life organizations.
Casey claimed to be a pro-life Democrat, but flip-flopped in 2022 to support enshrining abortion on demand throughout pregnancy with no limits in federal law and voted fpro-abortion before that.

But no more. The U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, was endorsed by the radical pro-abortion organization Reproductive Freedom for All, formerly known as NARAL.
“Tonight Pennsylvania voters rejected the extreme Harris-Schumer abortion agenda and sent Bob Casey Jr. home to Scranton. Casey spent years campaigning as ‘pro-life’ and coasting on the family name – a name that stood for courage and integrity thanks to his father – while casting pro-abortion votes. His flip-flop to supporting painful late-term abortions of healthy babies with healthy moms, even in the seventh, eighth or ninth month, and his readiness to overturn pro-life laws in every state across the country were the last straw,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser.
“Our team is proud to have made close to 450,000 visits this cycle to Pennsylvania voters’ homes – part of our largest-ever effort to visit 4 million homes and reach 10 million voters overall – to defeat pro-abortion Democrats like Casey and support GOP candidates who agree we need compassionate, commonsense limits on abortion. We congratulate Senator-elect Dave McCormick and look forward to working together to protect children before birth and help moms reach the root causes of abortion with life-affirming solutions.”
Casey’s pro-life voting record has been, at best, abysmal. Still, there were those who held out hope that Bob Casey would somehow rediscover his roots and come back to the pro-life fold. But that hope was dashed by his alliance with the mouthpiece for the abortion industry.
McCormick, a military veteran, stated his opposition to abortion except in the rare cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
