Snow comes down across NY, NJ amid drought
NEW YORK (PIX11) – A complex area of low pressure will continue to affect the area before moving offshore this weekend.
A winter storm warning and winter weather advisory are in effect through Friday afternoon for areas north and west of the city.
We can expect rain showers for coastal areas with snow showers north and west with gusty winds developing. Temperatures will be below average with a high of 40 in the city, low to mid-30s north and west and low-40s over coastal spots.
Saturday will be cloudy with rain and snow showers early followed by gradual clearing as high pressure works its way in from the west. The high temperature will be 48 in the city and mid to upper-40s in the suburbs.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, breezy and milder with a high of 52 in the city and low to mid-50s in the suburbs.
Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures that will be unseasonably mild. The high will be 54 in the city and mid to upper-50s in the suburbs.
Tuesday will be cloudy with a chance of rain showers as a front will move through the area. The high will be 56 in the city and mid to upper-50s in the suburbs.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a chance of scattered showers and a high of 47 in the city and mid to upper-40s in the suburbs.
Thursday will be cloudy with rain possible as a storm system will pass near the region. The high will be 45 in the city and mid to upper-40s in the suburbs.
