Schools delayed, closed in New York and New Jersey due to snow
NEW YORK (PIX11) – It's snowing in parts of the tri-state area on Friday and some schools will be closed or have delayed openings as a result.
The snow comes amid a historic drought in New York and New Jersey.
Some parts of New Jersey could see up to 6 inches of snow. Crews were seen treating the roads before snow came down.
Dangerous, slushy conditions affected roads, so if you're planning to commute – be sure to give yourself extra travel time.
