During a new interview, co-creator and showrunner Justin Noble spoke to the possibility of continuing the series after this season.
“I definitely have thoughts on where they’ll go in Season 4,” he told The Wrap. “I try not to go too far ahead, just because I really and truly embrace the collaborative side of this and our writers are incredible.”
Season three was announced towards the end of season two, with the final two episodes yet to air, so it could be a month or two before we find out if The Sex Lives of College Girls gets another early renewal.
He also recently revealed they’re in no rush to continue the stars through to graduation day, saying they are “slow-playing it for a reason.”
“I don’t want to commit to a four-year show. Yeah, this is a hit, we got to keep it going,” Justin told People, adding they don’t want to make any big time jumps.
“I don’t want to make any big time jumps, because I think, at this stage in their lives, their lives change so quickly that a time jump would feel fake,” he said, referring to them just starting sophomore year in season three. “And so, I’m kind of inclined to just let it play out.”
“If it ends up being 35 seasons of television before they graduate, I’m fine with it,” Justin joked.
