The Kings are excited to announce the signing of forward Noah Samanski and the return of defenseman Asher Wites.
The 19 year old Samanski comes to the Kings from the WHL’s Wenatchee Wild where he has collected 4 points in 12 games. Samanski is from Erding Germany and has represented his country on the world stage on a number of occasions but most notably he played for Germany at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Noah is the youngest of 4 brothers, and Kings fans might remember one of his older siblings Neal who played 88 games here in Powell River between 2018 and 2019.
Making his return Powell River is Asher Wites who has rejoined the team after starting the season with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL. The now 20 year old played in 53 games last season scoring twice while adding 6 assists. This season Wites has 2 assists in 17 games.
Both players are expected to be in the lineup this weekend when the Kings host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs Friday (7pm) and Saturday (5pm).
